Sleep Deprivation

Sleep Deprivation is described as not getting the necessary amount of sleep that you should be getting. A person who suffers from sleep deprivation can be deprived of their own mind and thoughts, it can lead to a shut down of the body because the body needs rest and it will tell you so as well, but the key is to listen when it talks. Deprivation of sleep can also lead to more serious sleep disorders down the line.

It is said that sleep deprivation can have the same effects of being drunk has on a person. When people get less than 6 hours a night it does have an affect on the way they perform during the day. They become sluggish and their reaction time slows way down. So if you have to operate a vehicle then, you need more than six hours of sleep. People who do not get enough sleep will tend to get stressed out more easily as well as become depressed and some will suffer from anxiety.

Everyday that you deprive your self of sleep, you run the risk of hurting your mental health as well as your physical health. If you do not get the proper amount of sleep you may suffer from the following, blurred vision, slurred speech, memory loss, irritability, depression, weight gain, lack of concentration, psychosis and general confusion. Headaches are common as well; you may have hallucinations, impatience and faster aging of the body. Some people can’t get the amount of sleep that is recommended but it is important to listen to the body when the body talks to you. So you don’t end up suffering these symptoms.
