| How Sleep Can Be Disturbed There are many things can disrupt a good night’s sleep. Even a person who has a reputation of being a deep sleeper can be disturbed out a good night’s sleep. One factor that can disturb sleep is having a newborn baby. A baby will cry when they want to be fed and they will cry when they need to be changed. The sound or a newborn baby crying is un mistaken able. You cannot sleep through a crying baby. Another way to be awakened from a goodnight’s sleep is by the sounds of the TV and radio. Some people can’t sleep with any noise around them. Just the sound of a ringing phone can wake some people up. There are many people who are light sleepers. Then there are people who can sleep through anything. Sleep can be disturbed when a person doesn’t feel well. Sometimes sickness can keep a person from sleeping. A toothache or leg cramps are other reasons why sleep can’t be enjoyed. Then there are some people who suffer from insomnia. This is a sleep deprivation disorder. People who suffer from this disorder sleep maybe 3 or 4 hours a night and then they are awake for the night.
People who suffer from insomnia can be put on medication to help them sleep. There are medications such as Lunesta and Ambien that are created to help them sleep. Then there are over the counter mediations such as Tylenol PM, Bayer Nighttime and other sleep aid. Some people can fall asleep after being woken up and some have trouble get back to sleep, that is where these aids come into play. |
